When visitors interact, they slowly rotate the disc, and the steel balls roll across it, producing a variety of sounds and rhythms as they roll. Through the process of steel balls hitting metal pins to produce music, the exhibit reflects the three elements of sound: timbre, pitch (determined by frequency), and loudness (determined by amplitude).
