Dichotic Listening
★Exhibit Content: Through a dichotic listening interactive experience, learn about the binaural effect. ★Interaction: Electromechanical interaction ★Operation: 1. Place your head between the two speakers; 2. Press the start button; 3. Carefully distinguish the speech output from the left and right channels; 4. Find the idiom formed by the two related groups of words. ★Exhibit Description: This exhibit mainly consists of an operation console, a stainless steel shaped speaker stand, dual-channel speakers, a voice playback module, and a control button. It is a recommended exhibit from the KexMall exhibit mall. Visitors stand in front of the exhibit, place their head between the two sets of speakers, and press the start button. The left and right speakers will simultaneously play split idiom words. The left and right ears receive different speech segments, and the brain integrates the information received by both ears, experiencing the dichotic listening phenomenon and intuitively learning the principle of the binaural effect. ★Scientific Principle: The human ear converts received sound into neural signals and transmits them to the brain. When the two ears receive different sound content, the brain organizes and integrates the information, combining existing experience to complete semantic recognition. This exhibit uses dual-channel output to split words, relying on the brain's information fusion ability to assemble complete idioms, thereby demonstrating the binaural effect.
