Astronaut Training Test

Aerospace

★Exhibit Content: Interactive popular science experience on astronauts' basic physiological qualities and space adaptability ★Interaction: Electromechanical interaction + multi-module experience ★Operation: 1. Visitors approach the exhibit and read the operation instructions; 2. Experience six modules in sequence: observation test, depth perception test, hearing test, eye-hand coordination test, peripheral vision test, and space glove experience; 3. Follow the prompts of each module to complete the operations and learn about the basic abilities required for astronauts. ★Exhibit Description: Astronaut training test science museum exhibit, characterized in that it is composed of six functional devices in sequence: observation test, depth perception test, hearing test, eye-hand coordination test, peripheral vision test, and space glove experience. Among them, the observation test device includes a touch screen displaying a set of pictures; the depth perception test device includes a rectangular box, inside which a fixed rod and a movable rod are arranged side by side; the base of the movable rod is connected to a driving mechanism for linear forward and backward movement; the front face of the box is equipped with two eyepieces, and a partition plate extending backward is arranged inside the box between the two eyepieces; the front section of the box is provided with control buttons for the driving mechanism; the device also includes a position monitoring component for the movable rod, and a computer that compares and displays the front-back positions of the fixed rod and the movable rod; the hearing test device includes an audio generator, a manual knob for adjusting sound frequency and its dial, a display, headphones and their stand; the eye-hand coordination test device includes a conductive rod distributed in a spiral and tortuous manner between a starting point and an ending point, a metal ring with an insulating handle is sleeved on the conductive rod, the inner diameter of the metal ring is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the conductive rod, the metal ring and the conductive rod are respectively electrically connected to a speaker, and an electrical contact is formed between the metal ring and the conductive rod; the peripheral vision test device includes a chin rest arranged on a tabletop, with two sets of arc-shaped light boxes surrounding both sides and the front of the chin rest, the arc-shaped light boxes are arranged with the chin rest as the center, the arc-shaped light boxes protrude from the tabletop, the tabletop is provided with a power button for the arc-shaped light boxes, and the arc-shaped light boxes light up sequentially from both sides of the chin rest toward the front center; the space glove experience device includes a glove placed inside a sealed cavity, with the insertion port of the glove exposed outside the sealed cavity; the sealed cavity is respectively connected to a vacuum pump and an air compressor; the inner wall of the sealed cavity is provided with a turntable, the turntable is provided with two upper and lower sockets, the sealed cavity also includes an insertion handle, the insertion handle is correspondingly inserted into the sockets, and the mating surface of the insertion handle and the sockets is correspondingly provided with a plurality of concave-convex fitting structures; the sealed cavity is provided with a transparent observation window; the sealed cavity is provided with a pressure button, a vacuum button, and a reset button outside. ★Scientific Principle: This exhibit mainly demonstrates the relevant training and tests for astronauts. Astronauts, also known as cosmonauts, full name space astronauts, refer to people who take spaceflight as a profession or have conducted spaceflight. There are many types of training that astronauts must receive. The training shown in the exhibit is only simple training for astronauts. They also need to complete special work tasks such as flight monitoring, operation, control, communication, maintenance, and scientific research inside and outside the spacecraft cabin, and be able to live normally. This requires strict training to equip them with excellent physiological and psychological qualities. At the same time, they must have strong adaptability to special space environmental factors, such as weightlessness adaptability and re-adaptability after return, and master various knowledge and skills required for spacecraft and completing flight missions. The purpose of training is to improve astronauts' endurance and adaptability to special environmental factors and to master relevant aerospace scientific knowledge and engineering technology.
