Airfoil Lift

Aerospace

★Exhibit Content: Bernoulli's Principle ★Interaction: Electromechanical Interaction ★Operation: Press the "Start" button on the device panel to activate the internal fan and generate a stable airflow; observe the floating motion of the small ball in the airflow through the transparent protective cover, and intuitively feel the lift effect brought by the wing structure. ★Exhibit Description: "The exhibit adopts a white and blue square sheet metal desktop cabinet, with a dark blue touch graphic operation panel on the tabletop, and a colored + high-transparency acrylic closed protective cover on top, using hot bending process, smooth edges, and stable structure. Inside the cover, there are an arc-shaped simulated wing model, airflow duct, and floating observation ball. The cabinet integrates a silent air supply fan and PLC electronic control module. The exhibit simulates aircraft taxiing airflow through the fan, uses the velocity difference between the upper and lower surfaces of the arc-shaped wing to form a pressure difference to lift the ball, concretely demonstrating the cause of aircraft takeoff lift, and at the same time linking to life pressure difference examples such as drinking water with a straw, bridging theory and daily application science popularization. It is a recommended exhibit of KexMall." ★Scientific Principle: 1. Wing lift is generated by the pressure difference caused by the airflow velocity difference between the upper and lower surfaces: the upper surface of the wing is curved, the airflow path is longer, the velocity is faster, and the pressure is lower; the lower surface is flat, the airflow velocity is slower, and the pressure is higher, forming an upward pressure difference, i.e., lift. 2. When the airflow velocity increases, the pressure difference continues to increase. When the lift exceeds the object's own weight, the object can float upward, corresponding to the complete principle of an aircraft taking off after accelerating during taxiing. 3. Bernoulli's pressure difference principle is widely used in daily life scenarios. Devices such as straws for drinking water and sprayers rely on velocity difference to form negative pressure to complete operations.
