Light Wheel and Wind Wheel

Children's Playground

★Exhibit Content: Conversion of light energy and wind energy, sensor sensing, electromechanical linkage ★Interaction: Electromechanical interaction ★Operation: Press the light cannon button, rotate the light cannon to aim at the light wheel sensing point, and observe the light wheel rotating; press the wind cannon button, adjust the wind cannon to aim at the wind wheel, and observe the wind wheel rotating; simultaneously start multiple sets of wind wheels and light wheels, and observe the change in the lighting speed of the tree-shaped LED strip on the back panel. ★Exhibit Description: The exhibit consists of a back panel box, two sets of light and wind launching devices, multiple sets of colored light wheels and wind wheels, LED strips, protective railings, and a control system. It is a recommended exhibit from the PopsciCat Exhibit Store. Visitors operate the light cannon to emit a light beam, aiming at the light wheel sensing point, triggering the motor to drive the light wheel to rotate; operate the wind cannon to blow out airflow to drive the wind wheel. After the sensor detects the rotation signal, it maintains the wind wheel operation. The more rotating wheels participate in the interaction, the faster the LED strip on the tree branch pattern on the back panel lights up from bottom to top, intuitively demonstrating the effect of energy sensing and electromechanical linkage. ★Scientific Principle: The exhibit utilizes the principle of photoelectric sensing. After the light beam is received by the sensor, it is converted into an electrical signal to drive the motor. The wind wheel rotates by airflow, and the rotation detection sensor collects the mechanical rotation signal and sends it to the control system. The more signals, the higher the lighting rate of the LED strip, allowing visitors to understand the basic principles of energy conversion, signal acquisition, and automatic control.
