Gear Assembly
★Exhibit Content: Gear transmission, chain transmission ★Interaction: Mechanical interaction ★Operation: 1. Visitors first select gears of different specifications from the gear spare parts area, freely disassemble and assemble them in the assembly area of the exhibit platform to create a transmission structure. 2. After completing the gear assembly, turn the hand crank to provide power. The power is transmitted through gears, chains, cams, and linkage mechanisms to drive the frog to swing and the fish piano to produce sound. 3. Replace different gears and adjust the assembly method to observe changes in action speed and music rhythm. ★Exhibit Description: This exhibit is centered on gear transmission and is equipped with freely assemblable magnetic gear modules, a hand crank, a cam-linkage mechanism, chain transmission components, a cartoon frog swinging mechanism, and a fish piano sound device. The gears are made of EVA material with double-sided acrylic clamping and are fixed by magnetic attraction to avoid the risk of pinching hands. Visitors independently build a meshing transmission structure, turn the handle to input power, and intuitively observe how gears change speed, direction, and power transmission, understanding mechanical knowledge related to the transmission and conversion of mechanical energy. A simulated oil pumping unit shape is installed above the exhibit platform to enhance the overall appearance design. ★Scientific Principle: Intermeshing gears can transmit rotational motion. Gears with different numbers of teeth can change rotation speed and direction. Gears, chains, cams, and linkages form a composite transmission system that converts continuous rotational motion into reciprocating swinging motion, while driving the sound device to work, achieving power transmission and energy form conversion.
