Electromagnetic Playground

Children's Playground

★Exhibit Content: Electrical conductivity of objects, Tesla discharge ★Interaction: Electromechanical interaction ★Operation: Visitors operate the interactive buttons on the tabletop to trigger the corresponding feedback terminals to produce discharge phenomena; when all 6 feedback terminals are triggered simultaneously, watch the central device perform a Tesla arc show. ★Exhibit Description: The exhibit consists of a circular multi-station platform, a large transparent protective cover, multiple sets of conductive interactive mechanisms, point discharge, Jacob's ladder, glow columns, and a central Tesla discharge device. It is a recommended exhibit from the KexMall. The exhibit features 6 interactive terminals, divided into three categories: human body conductivity, ordinary conductive materials, and semiconductor conductivity. Visitors can manually operate each station to test the conductivity of different materials, activating the corresponding discharge feedback components one by one. After all signals are collected, the central Tesla device starts, producing a stunning arc effect, allowing visitors to distinguish the conductivity differences between conductors and semiconductors through fun interaction. ★Scientific Principle: There are obvious differences in the conductivity of different substances. Human tissues contain a large amount of electrolytes, and the directional movement of ions can form an electric current; metal conductors conduct electricity through free electrons inside; the conductivity of semiconductors is between conductors and insulators, and can be regulated through doping processes, which is the foundation of modern electronic devices. Under high voltage, air is broken down, forming discharge phenomena such as arcs and glow, visually demonstrating the process of electrical energy release.
