Bernoulli Floating Ball

Aerospace

★Exhibit Content: Bernoulli's Principle and Airflow Levitation Phenomenon ★Interaction: Electromechanical Interaction ★Operation: Press the start button to turn on the fan, place the ball on the air outlet to observe the levitation state; turn the handwheel to adjust the direction of the air outlet and the wind force, and try to make the ball pass through baskets of different sizes. ★Exhibit Description: The exhibit consists of a rotatable control console, a multi-ring graded basket support, a centrifugal fan assembly, a lightweight levitating ball, an adjustment mechanism, and an inductive sound and light feedback system. It is a recommended exhibit from the KexMall exhibit mall. Visitors press the start button to turn on the fan, and the upward airflow steadily lifts the ball, making it levitate in the air; turning the handwheel can adjust the direction of the air outlet and the wind speed, precisely controlling the levitation height and position of the ball, and try to make the ball pass through circular baskets of different sizes in sequence. When the ball passes through the ring, it automatically triggers sound and light feedback, allowing visitors to intuitively feel the lifting power of the airflow in a fun challenge. ★Scientific Principle: This exhibit is based on Bernoulli's principle: the faster the fluid flow, the lower the pressure at the interface between the object and the fluid. The high-speed airflow ejected by the fan has a fast flow velocity and low pressure in the central area, and the surrounding atmospheric pressure confines the ball within the airflow column, achieving stable levitation. Changing the direction and speed of the airflow will cause the levitation posture and height of the ball to change synchronously, intuitively demonstrating the inverse relationship between fluid pressure and flow velocity. This principle is also the core physical foundation of many engineering applications such as aircraft lift and fluid transportation.
