The platform is not enclosed, allowing direct observation of the pipe shapes. The pipe openings extending from the tabletop correspond one-to-one with the musical notes attached to the platform. The mallets are secured to the tabletop with retractable cords to prevent loss. During participation, visitors pick up the mallets and strike different pipe openings to hear sounds of different pitches. Visitors can freely improvise a tune by striking the pipe openings, and can also play a melody according to the sheet music on the platform. ★Scientific Principle: The pipes contain air columns. Due to differences in length and diameter, the volume of the air column inside each pipe varies, resulting in different natural vibration frequencies for each pipe. When the frequency of ambient air vibration matches or is close to the natural frequency of the air column in a pipe, resonance occurs. The smaller the volume of the air column in the pipe, the higher its natural frequency and the higher the pitch; conversely, the larger the volume of the air column, the lower its natural frequency and the lower the pitch.
