★Exhibit Content: Surface Tension of Water ★Interaction: Mechanical Interaction ★Operation: Step onto the circular platform, pull up the bubble-making device, and slowly stop pulling to enjoy the magical moment of being surrounded by a giant bubble. ★Exhibit Description: The exhibit mainly consists of the main platform body, support frame, water tank, pulley lifting mechanism, bubble-making device, and bubble solution. Bubble solution is placed in a circular water tank. After the wetted ring is pulled up and slowly stopped, a giant soap bubble can be formed, surrounding children. The exhibit provides a circular experience space where children can step into the central circular platform area to get ready. With the assistance of parents, they can lift the bubble-making device to create the wonderful experience of a giant human-carrying bubble. ★Scientific Principle: There are forces between molecules inside a liquid, and at the gas-liquid interface, this force manifests as attraction, namely "surface tension." The surfactants in the bubble solution reduce the surface energy of water, allowing water molecules to form a stable film. When the ring is pulled up and wetted, air is trapped into this film. Due to surface tension, the film can maintain its integrity and expand into a giant bubble. Children stand on the circular platform. As the bubble-making device is slowly pulled up and stopped, air gradually fills the film, eventually forming a giant human-carrying bubble large enough to enclose the child, bringing a unique visual and tactile experience.
