Carbon Emission Calculator
★Exhibit Content: Comparison of carbon emissions from different power generation methods, comparison of emission reductions from clean energy ★Interaction: Electromechanical interaction ★Operation: Press the metal button on the tabletop corresponding to the energy type, and the device starts the ball conveying mechanism; observe the rising height of the ball in the transparent cylinder, and read the carbon emission value of the corresponding power generation method against the scale on the cylinder; switch between different buttons to compare the differences in carbon dioxide emissions per unit of electricity generated by various energy sources such as thermal power, photovoltaics, wind power, and hydrogen energy. ★Exhibit Description: "Carbon Emission Calculation" is a circular desktop science exhibit on the theme of dual carbon and new energy environmental protection. It belongs to the energy environment and low-carbon emission reduction science exhibition area and is a recommended exhibit of the KexMall exhibit mall. The exhibit uses a white and blue two-tone circular floor-standing cabinet. The tabletop is arranged with multiple sets of function buttons and science description plaques in a ring. In the center stands a blue inner cylinder with a scale and an outer transparent acrylic protective cover. Inside is a ball lifting demonstration module. The cabinet is equipped with PLC electrical control, a ball conveying transmission mechanism, and height sensing sensor components. The exhibit quantifies carbon emission values through the lifting height of the ball, intuitively compares the carbon dioxide emission gap between traditional fossil energy and clean energy, popularizes the measurement logic of carbon emission accounting, and explains the significance of low-carbon energy for achieving carbon peaking and carbon neutrality. ★Scientific Principle: Carbon emission calculation is a core means of assessing the environmental impact of various energy sources, used to count the total amount of carbon dioxide produced per unit of electricity generated. Different power generation modes are affected by fuel type, equipment efficiency, and production processes, resulting in significant differences in carbon emissions. Carbon emissions from fossil fuel power generation are far higher than those from clean energy such as photovoltaics, wind power, and hydrogen energy. Collecting energy consumption and exhaust emission data throughout the power generation process can accurately calculate carbon emission indicators and provide scientific data support for the country to formulate energy conservation, emission reduction, and new energy promotion policies.
