Circuit Connection

Electromagnetism

★Exhibit Content: Composition of a circuit ★Interaction: Electromechanical interaction ★Operation: Connect the electrical components and observe the changes in the small animal models after the circuit is switched on. ★Exhibit Description: The exhibit consists of a display stand, electrical connection components, and small animal models. A basic circuit includes components such as a power source, wires, switches, and loads. A circuit can only conduct when it forms a closed loop; short circuits or open circuits will prevent it from working properly. Follow the instructions on the graphic panel to connect the electrical components. After switching on the power, observe the operation of the circuit and see what changes occur in these small animals and the display models. ★Scientific Principle: Composition of a circuit: By assembling circuits, visitors can intuitively understand the basic components of a complete circuit, including the power source, wires, switches, and loads, as well as their roles and interrelationships in the circuit. Flow of current: Visitors can observe the path of current flowing from the positive terminal of the power source, through wires, switches, and loads, and finally back to the negative terminal, thereby understanding the continuity and directionality of current. Relationship between voltage and current: When assembling different circuits, visitors can discover the relationship between voltage and current, for example, in a series circuit, the sum of the voltages across each part equals the total voltage; in a parallel circuit, the sum of the currents in each branch equals the total current, etc. Ohm's law: By changing the resistance and voltage values in the circuit, visitors can observe changes in current, thereby understanding the quantitative relationship between voltage, current, and resistance as described by Ohm's law (I=U/R). Kirchhoff's laws: In complex circuit assembly, visitors can be initially exposed to Kirchhoff's current law (KCL) and Kirchhoff's voltage law (KVL), and understand the conservation relationships of node currents and loop voltages in circuits.
