Magnetism Makes Electricity, Electricity Makes Magnetism

Electromagnetism

★Exhibit Content: Electromagnetic Effect ★Interaction: Mechanical Interaction ★Operation: Magnet Generates Electricity: 1. Try tilting the acrylic tube to make the magnetic ball roll left and right in the organic glass tube. 2. Observe the process of the light bulbs on different coil groups lighting up and going out as the magnetic ball passes through them. Electricity Generates Magnetism: Press the buttons corresponding to different coils to observe the deflection of the energized coil under the magnetic field and the influence of the magnet's north-south pole direction and the power supply's positive-negative pole direction on the coil's deflection direction. ★Exhibit Description: The exhibit mainly consists of a display stand, magnets, acrylic protective cover, coils, wires, organic glass tube, light bulbs, magnetic ball, buttons, and an instruction sign. Two sets of display devices are set up to show the audience the phenomena of magnet generating electricity and electricity generating magnetism. The audience observes the experimental results of the two sets of devices to understand the relevant knowledge of electromagnetic effects. ★Scientific Principle: Electromagnetism was discovered by the Danish scientist Oersted. It is a general term for the electrical and magnetic properties exhibited by matter, such as electromagnetic induction, electromagnetic waves, electromagnetic fields, etc. The cause of electromagnetic phenomena is that the movement of electric charges generates fluctuations, forming a magnetic field. Therefore, all electromagnetic phenomena are inseparable from the electric field. Electricity Generates Magnetism: When a current passes through a straight metal wire, a circular magnetic field will be generated in the space around the wire. The greater the current flowing, the stronger the magnetic field generated. Magnet Generates Electricity: When a part of a conductor in a closed circuit moves to cut magnetic field lines in a magnetic field, a current is generated in the conductor. This phenomenon is called electromagnetic induction.
