Mutual-Induction Coils

Electromagnetism

★Exhibit Content: Electromagnetic Induction and Mutual Inductance ★Interaction: Electromechanical Interaction ★Operation: 1. Turn the handwheel to drive the disc model (primary coil) to rotate; 2. Observe the lighting of the induction lamps within the area swept by the disc; 3. Intuitively experience the dynamic process of electromagnetic induction. ★Exhibit Description: The exhibit consists of several wireless induction lamps, a wireless charging module, a pendulum rod, a bracket, a protective cover, a motor, etc. The exhibit adopts the principle of electromagnetic induction, and the main technical means is to evenly arrange several induction lamps on the bottom surface. Above the induction lamps, a wireless charging disc capable of circular motion is arranged. The movement of the disc is realized by superimposing a rotating component and a pendulum rod component. When the charging disc sweeps over the induction lamps, the corresponding induction lamps light up. ★Scientific Principle: Mutual inductance refers to the coupling between two coils through a magnetic field. When the current in one coil (primary coil) changes, it causes a change in magnetic flux, thereby generating an induced electromotive force in the other coil (secondary coil). In this exhibit, the primary coil (charging disc) generates a changing magnetic field when moving, causing the secondary coil (induction lamp) to generate an induced current and light up the lamp beads, intuitively demonstrating the basic principle of mutual inductance.
