Magnetoelectric Generator

Electromagnetism

★Exhibit Content: Popular science experience of electromagnetic induction, electricity generating magnetism, and magnetism generating electricity ★Interaction: Multiple sets of mechanical and electromechanical interactive demonstrations ★Operation: 1. Copper disk generator: Turn the wheel to make the copper disk between the magnets rotate rapidly, and observe the change in the voltmeter reading. 2. Bicksey hand-cranked generator: Visitors turn the handwheel to drive the magnet to rotate, and observe the change in bulb brightness. 3. Magnetic bar through coil: Push the magnet back and forth, and observe the change in bulb brightness as the magnet passes through the coil. 4. Electromagnetic conversion wheel: Turn the handwheel to drive the conversion wheel to rotate, and observe the change in the small bulb's brightness. 5. Energy conversion wheel: Turn the handwheel to drive the conversion wheel to rotate, and observe the change in the small bulb's brightness. 6. Oersted experiment: Visitors move the wire within the usable range, press the switch, and the indicator light turns on, proving that the wire is energized; a magnetic field is generated around the wire, causing the small magnetic needle to deflect under magnetic force. 7. Magnetism generating electricity: Visitors press one end of the tube to tilt it, and the magnetic balls pass through the coil in sequence; observe the change in the small bulb's brightness on the coil. ★Exhibit Description: "Magnetoelectric Generator" is a comprehensive interactive exhibit for popular science on the basic principles of electromagnetism, designed specifically for physics science exhibition areas, and is also a core exhibit of the KexMall science popularization mall. The exhibit consists of 7 interactive structures: copper disk generator, Bicksey hand-cranked generator, magnetic bar through coil, electromagnetic conversion wheel, energy conversion wheel, Oersted experiment, and magnetism generating electricity. Through multiple sets of experimental devices, it intuitively demonstrates the core principles of "electricity generating magnetism and magnetism generating electricity," allowing visitors to systematically understand key concepts such as electromagnetic induction, magnetic effect of current, and conversion between mechanical energy and electrical energy through hands-on operation, and to experience the internal connections and practical applications of electromagnetic phenomena. ★Scientific Principle: Electricity generating magnetism (Oersted experiment): A magnetic field is generated around a current-carrying wire, causing a nearby small magnetic needle to deflect, proving the magnetic effect of current. Magnetism generating electricity (electromagnetic induction): When part of a conductor in a closed circuit moves to cut magnetic field lines in a magnetic field, an induced current is generated, and mechanical energy is converted into electrical energy. Devices such as the copper disk generator, hand-cranked generator, and magnetic bar through coil are all based on this principle. Energy conversion: Through operations such as turning and pushing, mechanical energy is converted into electrical energy, lighting bulbs or driving voltmeters, intuitively presenting the law of conservation and conversion of energy.
