DC Motor
★Exhibit Content: Popular science experience of the working principle of DC motors ★Interaction: Electromechanical interactive demonstration ★Operation: Press the control button to intuitively observe the rotation and operating state of the motor rotor. ★Exhibit Description: "DC Motor" is an interactive exhibit for popular science in electromagnetics, belonging to the electrical physics exhibition area, and is a standard exhibit of the PopsciCat Science and Technology Museum. The exhibit consists of a display stand, transparent protective cover, DC motor core, control button, and drive power supply, exposing the internal rotor, coil, and permanent magnet structure of the DC motor. After the visitor presses the button to energize, the internal rotor begins to rotate under electromagnetic force, intuitively seeing the entire process of electrical energy achieving mechanical energy output, and thinking about the energy conversion relationship between electricity and magnetism. ★Scientific Principle: Based on the principle that a current-carrying conductor experiences force in a magnetic field, after DC current is passed through the internal coil of the DC motor, it is in a fixed magnetic field formed by permanent magnets. The current-carrying coil is subjected to Ampere force, generating torque, which drives the rotor to rotate continuously, completing the conversion of electrical energy to mechanical energy; by changing the direction of the current, the rotor's rotation direction can also be changed. This is the basic principle of power sources for various electrical appliances and mechanical equipment.
