Ferrofluid Climbing Slope

Electromagnetism

★Exhibit Content: Ferrofluid Superparamagnetic New Material ★Interaction: Electromechanical Interactive Demonstration ★Operation: Press the corresponding numbered button to activate the corresponding magnetic field and observe the peculiar phenomenon of the magnetic fluid being driven upward by magnetic force. ★Exhibit Description: "Magnetic Fluid Climbing" is an interactive exhibit for new material electromagnetics science popularization, belonging to the Electromagnetic Materials Exhibition Area, and is a recommended exhibit by KexMall. The exhibit consists of a white and blue color console, transparent acrylic protective tank, multiple sets of electromagnetic coils, control button array, electronic control system, and nano ferrofluid. Visitors press different numbered buttons, and the corresponding coils generate a magnetic field. The originally flat magnetic fluid will climb upward along the tank, intuitively demonstrating the special properties of ferrofluid that combine liquid fluidity and magnetic material magnetization characteristics, and popularizing the practical applications of magnetic fluid in industry, medical treatment, and mineral processing. ★Scientific Principle: The exhibit core demonstrates the superparamagnetic properties of ferrofluid (magnetic fluid). Ferrofluid is made of nanoscale ferromagnetic particles mixed with surfactants. At room temperature, it has fluidity and does not solidify; when there is no external magnetic field, it has no magnetic attraction. When the coil is energized to generate an external magnetic field, the particles inside the fluid rapidly polarize, and the whole is pulled upward by magnetic force. This material combines the dual characteristics of liquid flow and solid magnetism, and is widely used in equipment damping, medical devices, mineral separation, and other scenarios.
