Neodymium-Magnet Power Generation

Electromagnetism

★Exhibit Content: Popular science experience of electromagnetic induction and the effect of magnetic field strength on induced current ★Interaction: Manual mechanical interactive demonstration ★Operation: Turn the handwheel to drive the ordinary magnet and neodymium magnet to rotate synchronously; compare the brightness difference of the bulbs in the two circuits, and explore the relationship between magnetic field strength and power generation. ★Exhibit Description: "Neodymium Magnet Power Generation" is an interactive exhibit for popular science of electromagnetic induction physics, belonging to the electromagnetic power generation exhibition area, and is a recommended exhibit by KexMall. The exhibit consists of a circular painted round platform, transparent acrylic protective cover, coaxial transmission handwheel, two sets of coil power generation modules, ordinary magnet, high-magnetic neodymium magnet, indicator bulbs, and popular science instruction sign. Visitors turn the handwheel to drive two sets of magnets with different magnetic properties to rotate synchronously. The coils cut the magnetic field lines to generate induced current and light up the bulbs. The brightness of the bulbs corresponding to the two magnets is intuitively compared, clearly showing that the magnetic field strength directly affects the magnitude of the induced current, and intuitively demonstrating the basic working principle of a generator. ★Scientific Principle: This exhibit is based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. In a closed coil circuit, the rotation of the magnet brings periodic changes in magnetic flux, generating an induced current inside the coil; the magnetism of the neodymium magnet is far stronger than that of the ordinary magnet. At the same speed, the change in magnetic flux is greater, the generated induced current is larger, and the corresponding bulb brightness is higher. This principle is the core theoretical basis of wind, hydro, and thermal power generators.
