Pixii Generator
★Exhibit Content: Hand-cranked magnet rotation, intuitively demonstrating the principle of electromagnetic induction power generation ★Interaction: Electromechanical interaction ★Operation: 1. Read the exhibit description plate to learn about the Pixii generator; 2. Turn the handwheel to drive the internal magnet to rotate; 3. Observe the number of illuminated light strips to feel the change in power generation strength; 4. Change the rotation speed of the handwheel to compare the lighting effect of the light strips; 5. Stop turning the handwheel after the experience. ★Exhibit Description: This exhibit restores the Pixii hand-cranked DC generator model. The exhibit consists of a base, tabletop, generator main frame, handwheel assembly, turntable assembly, magnet mounting bracket, protective acrylic, fixed coil, and light strips. Visitors turn the handwheel to drive the magnet to rotate. The changing magnetic field acts on the closed coil to generate an induced electromotive force, driving the light strips to glow. The faster the handwheel rotates, the higher the rate of magnetic field change, the stronger the induced output, and the more light strips are illuminated, thus concretely demonstrating the complete process of electromagnetic induction power generation. ★Scientific Principle: Following Faraday's principle of electromagnetic induction, when the magnetic flux inside a closed coil changes, the coil generates an induced electromotive force. The handwheel drives the magnet to rotate, causing the magnetic field at the coil to continuously change, resulting in a change in magnetic flux and thus generating an induced current; the faster the rotation speed, the greater the rate of change of magnetic flux, the stronger the induced current, and the more light strips are illuminated.
