The Human Brain and Organs

Life & Health

★Exhibit Content: Popular science on functional areas of the cerebral cortex and the human sensory-motor system ★Interaction: Electromechanical interaction + multimedia ★Operation: Visitors press the buttons next to the six graphics and texts for "Think, Touch, See, Hear, Speak, Move" respectively, which trigger the corresponding functional area light strips on the brain model and the graphic panels on the table to light up, and through the multimedia screen introduction, learn the correspondence between each sense and the functional areas of the cerebral cortex. ★Exhibit Overview: "Human Brain and Organs" is a neuroscience popular science installation for the public, vividly presenting the functional areas of the brain as the highest center of the central nervous system through electromechanical interaction. By operating different interactive components, visitors trigger the light strips in the corresponding areas on the brain model to light up, intuitively understanding the localization of functions such as touch, vision, hearing, language, and movement in the cerebral cortex, and learning how various brain regions work together to regulate human perception and behavior. ★Scientific Principle: The cerebral cortex is divided into multiple functional areas based on differences in cell composition, arrangement, and architecture. It is not only responsible for somatic sensation and movement but is also closely related to higher cognitive activities such as language and writing. Different brain areas correspond to different functions: for example, the precentral gyrus is the motor center, the postcentral gyrus is the somatosensory center, the occipital lobe is the visual center, the temporal lobe is the auditory center, and Broca's area is the language motor center. These areas are connected to human organs through neural pathways, enabling the brain to regulate the entire body.
