Hazards of Tobacco and Alcohol
★Exhibit Content: The health hazards of smoking and excessive drinking ★Interaction: Multimedia interactive ★Operation: Visitors observe the lung or liver model, touch the cigarette pack or liquor bottle, and watch the pathological animations and metabolic process demonstrations on the high-definition display. ★Exhibit Description: "The Hazards of Smoking and Drinking" is a health science exhibit that integrates model display, multimedia interaction, and educational outreach, designed specifically for life health and lifestyle exhibition areas. Through displaying pathological lung and liver models, combined with animated demonstrations, it vividly reveals the damage to the respiratory system caused by harmful substances in tobacco such as nicotine, tar, and carbon monoxide, as well as the mechanisms of liver damage during alcohol metabolism, guiding visitors to avoid the hazards of smoking and drinking and establish healthy lifestyle habits. ★Scientific Principle: The smoke produced by smoking contains various harmful substances such as nicotine, tar, and carbon monoxide. Long-term inhalation can severely damage the respiratory mucosa, leading to chronic bronchitis, emphysema, and even lung cancer; meanwhile, carbon monoxide reduces the oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood, increasing the burden on the cardiovascular system. After alcohol enters the human body, it is mainly metabolized in the liver. Long-term excessive drinking can cause fatty degeneration and inflammatory necrosis of liver cells, progressing to alcoholic fatty liver, hepatitis, cirrhosis, and even liver cancer, seriously endangering human health.
