Mobius Strip (Suspended)
★Exhibit Content: Möbius Strip ★Interaction: Model Interaction ★Operation: Observe the light demonstration path to understand the unique single-sided structural characteristic of the Möbius strip. ★Exhibit Description: The exhibit consists of a Möbius strip model and a lighting system. Combined with architectural features, a large Möbius strip ceiling decoration is installed. An LED color-changing light strip continuously rotates along the outer edge. ★Scientific Principle: The Möbius strip is a type of extended figure that remains unchanged under bending, stretching, shrinking, or arbitrary deformation, as long as during the deformation process, originally distinct points are not merged into the same point and no new points are created. German mathematician Möbius discovered that a strip of paper twisted 180° and then joined at the ends to form a loop possesses magical properties. An ordinary paper strip has two sides (i.e., a double-sided surface), a front and a back, which can be painted in different colors; however, such a paper strip has only one side (i.e., a single-sided surface), and a small insect can crawl over the entire surface without crossing its edge. This type of paper strip is called a "Möbius strip".
