Flick it in any direction with your hand and observe whether "it" can hit the target. ★Exhibit Description: "Every Shot Hits" is an interactive exhibit for popularizing geometric optics and mathematical principles, designed specifically for mathematics and physics science exhibition areas, and is also a recommended exhibit of KexMall. On the display stand, there is a smooth elliptical plane with the two foci of the ellipse marked. One focus serves as the starting point, and on the other focus, a taller small cylindrical target is set. When visitors participate, they place a flat small cylindrical block at the starting point and flick it. They will find that no matter which direction the small cylindrical block is flicked, after contacting the elliptical wall once, it will collide with the target set at the other focus, intuitively demonstrating the focus reflection property of the ellipse. ★Scientific Principle: An ellipse has a unique focus reflection property: light or objects emitted from one focus of the ellipse, after being reflected by the inner wall of the ellipse, will inevitably converge at the other focus. In this exhibit, when the small cylindrical block is flicked from one focus, it undergoes elastic collision (reflection) on the inner wall of the ellipse. Its trajectory follows the law of reflection and will ultimately hit the target at the other focus, thus achieving the effect of "every shot hits", intuitively verifying the geometric properties of the ellipse.
