Newton's Three Laws

Force & Mechanics

★Exhibit Content: Newton's Three Laws ★Interaction: Electromechanical Interaction ★Exhibit Description: First Law: The exhibit consists of a platform, buttons, a train track, a train model, an arch bridge model, and a ball projection device. When the visitor presses the start button, the train starts and accelerates. When the front of the train reaches the arch bridge, its speed becomes constant, and the ball projection device on the train throws a ball vertically upward. Due to inertia, after the train exits the arch bridge, the ball still falls into the ball hole. Second Law: The exhibit consists of a platform, buttons, three tracks, three sets of carts, and weights. Among the three sets of carts, two have the same mass but different hanging weights (i.e., different pulling forces), and two have the same hanging weight (i.e., the same pulling force) but different masses of weights on the carts. Press the 'Start' button to make the three carts start simultaneously. Under the same pulling force, the greater the mass of the cart, the smaller the acceleration and the slower the cart; under the same mass, the greater the pulling force, the greater the acceleration and the faster the cart. Third Law: The exhibit slowly brings two cart models (with embedded magnets, like poles facing each other) close together and then releases them. The repulsive force pushes the two objects apart, and the scale on the track indicates that the sliders experience equal forces during the push.
