Newton's Third Law
★Exhibit Content: Action and Reaction Forces ★Interaction: Mechanical Interaction ★Operation: Turn the handwheel to drive the helicopter rotor to rotate, and observe the movement of the helicopter. ★Exhibit Description: The exhibit mainly consists of an operating handwheel, transmission mechanism, helicopter model, protective cover, and display stand. The display stand surface is equipped with an operating handwheel, and the transmission mechanism and helicopter model are installed inside the protective cover. When the visitor turns the handwheel, the transmission mechanism drives the rotor to rotate. When the handwheel reaches a certain speed, the helicopter rises vertically. ★Scientific Principle: Newton's third law states that the action and reaction forces between two objects are always equal in magnitude, opposite in direction, and act along the same straight line. According to Newton's third law: forces act mutually, so the air also exerts an upward reaction force on the blades. This reaction force is lift. When the lift is greater than the helicopter's own weight, the helicopter flies into the air.
