Inverted Imaging
Operation: Two visitors stand on the left and right sides respectively; one rotates the channel, while the other observes the image inside the viewing port. Function Overview: The main body of this exhibit is a rotatable observation channel composed of three fully reflective mirrors. As we all know, when a single plane mirror forms an image, no matter how the mirror is rotated, the image in the mirror does not rotate accordingly. This experience device contains three mirrors arranged at a certain angle, so that light from one end must undergo three reflections to reach the other end. When the device is rotated, the three plane mirrors rotate simultaneously. Although the head of the other person standing opposite the device does not rotate, the positions where the three plane mirrors reflect the incident light three times change, causing his mirror image to appear either left-right or top-bottom reversed.
