Moire Fringes
Operation: Press the "Start" button to activate the rotating disk and observe the formation of moiré patterns. Function Overview: In digital images, if the subject contains dense textures, mysterious water-wave-like stripes and strange colors often appear; these are moiré patterns. This phenomenon can occur in images taken with advanced digital cameras or scanned images. It happens when a fine pattern on an object (such as the weave of fabric or closely spaced parallel lines on a building) overlaps with the pattern on the imaging element. When two patterns overlap, a new pattern is usually produced, commonly called a moiré pattern.
