Eye-Disease Experience
★Exhibit Content: Visual simulation of common eye diseases, eye health education, visual impairment experience ★Interaction: Electromechanical interaction ★Operation: Visitors align both eyes with the cartoon-shaped viewing port, press the screen switching button, and sequentially experience 10 different visual states: myopia, hyperopia, cataract, astigmatism, glaucoma, color blindness, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, floaters, and normal vision, intuitively feeling the visual characteristics of various eye diseases. ★Exhibit Description: This exhibit is a wall-mounted electromechanical interactive science popularization exhibit. The exterior features a cartoon-shaped viewing port design to attract visitors, especially children, to actively explore. It is a recommended exhibit for the PopsciCat exhibit mall. Inside, a high-definition electronic display is configured. By pressing the screen switching button, visitors can sequentially experience 10 different visual states, allowing healthy people to quickly and intuitively feel the world through the eyes of eye disease patients, thereby deeply understanding the inconvenience caused by various eye diseases, enhancing eye care awareness, and building empathy and understanding for the eye disease community. ★Scientific Principle: This exhibit accurately simulates the pathological visual characteristics of different eye diseases through an electronic display: Myopia/Hyperopia/Astigmatism: blurred vision and double vision caused by refractive errors; Cataract: visual haze and decreased contrast caused by lens opacity; Glaucoma/Macular Degeneration/Retinal Detachment: visual field defects, loss of central/peripheral vision; Floaters: dark shadows and flocculent interference caused by vitreous opacity; Color Blindness: color discrimination disorder caused by abnormal color vision. Through immersive visual simulation, healthy people can intuitively recognize the impact of eye diseases on vision and understand the importance of eye health.
