Endless Space
★Exhibit Content: Multiple reflections of light, beam splitter imaging principle, science popularization of infinite optical repetition imaging ★Interaction: Electromechanical interaction ★Operation: Turn the handwheel and observe the changes in the scene within the viewing window to intuitively experience the infinitely repeating "endless tunnel" visual effect. ★Exhibit Description: The exhibit consists of a cabinet, handwheel, beam splitter, reflector, LED light group, luminous model, etc., and is a recommended exhibit for the KexMall exhibit mall. The front end is a beam splitter, and the back end is a reflector. The light emitted by the lamp is reflected back by the reflector; part of it passes through the beam splitter and is seen, while the other part is reflected again by the beam splitter to the rear reflector. After multiple reflections, images of numerous objects are formed, presenting infinitely repeating images, each farther away than the last, like an endless tunnel. Through fun interaction, this exhibit vividly demonstrates the multiple reflections of light and the wonderful imaging effect of the beam splitter, allowing visitors to intuitively understand the principle of optical reflection. ★Scientific Principle: Light reflects on a plane mirror, following the law of reflection (the angle of incidence equals the angle of reflection). The beam splitter can simultaneously transmit and reflect light. The rear reflector reflects the light back to the beam splitter. The light travels back and forth between the two mirrors multiple times, and each reflection forms a new virtual image. The virtual images gradually become farther away as the number of reflections increases, ultimately forming an infinitely repeating, progressively layered "endless space" visual effect, perfectly interpreting the principle of multiple reflections of light.
