Bird into the Cage
★Exhibit Content: Persistence of vision phenomenon of the human eye, principles of animation/film imaging, popular science of visual optics ★Interaction: Electromechanical interaction ★Operation: Press the start button and observe the dynamic picture of a bird flying in the cage when the grid-like birdcage rotates rapidly, intuitively experiencing the animation effect brought by persistence of vision. ★Exhibit Description: The exhibit consists of a flying bird silhouette model, a grid-like birdcage model, a transparent protective cover, a light source, and an electronic control system. After startup, the birdcage rotates rapidly, sequentially presenting the continuous static frames decomposed from the bird's flying action. Utilizing the persistence of vision of the human eye, the brain fills in the visual gaps, allowing the human eye to see the dynamic effect of the bird flying into the cage, vividly restoring the core principles of film and animation. Recommended exhibit for KexMall exhibit mall. ★Scientific Principle: When the human eye observes a scene, light signals are transmitted to the brain through the optic nerve to form vision, but after the light action ends, the visual image in the brain does not disappear immediately, but persists for 0.1 to 0.4 seconds. This is the phenomenon of persistence of vision. This exhibit decomposes the continuous action of a bird flying into coherent static frames. As the birdcage rotates rapidly, the afterimage retained in the brain fills the visual gaps of the birdcage bars, creating the dynamic visual effect of a bird flying into the cage. This is also the core principle of film and animation.
