Mirror Maze
★Exhibit Content: Plane Mirror Imaging ★Interaction: Scene Interaction ★Operation: Enter the maze from the entrance, use your sense of touch to find the passage, and try to find your way out. ★Exhibit Description: The exhibit combines frames, mirrors, and anti-collision rods to present a maze made of mirrors to the audience, recommended by PopsciCat Exhibit Store. When an object is in an imaging system composed of multiple plane mirrors, multiple imaging phenomena occur. In the mirror maze, the mirrors are at different angles. When visitors enter, multiple virtual images appear, showing countless reflections of themselves—some very close, some very far, some upside down, some tilted. The mixture of real and virtual confuses the brain, creating optical illusions, as if entering a maze. ★Scientific Principle: Visitors enter the maze from the entrance and try to find their way out. This exhibit consists of several plane mirrors arranged at specific angles, mainly using the principle of repeated reflection imaging by plane mirrors. When visitors enter the passage, their bodies are reflected multiple times by the mirrors, forming countless images, making it difficult to distinguish between passages and mirrors, just like being in a maze. The principle of plane mirror imaging is also used in dance studios where mirrors on four walls reflect each other. By combining mirrors in various ways, a mirror maze scene is created, allowing visitors to experience confusion and dizziness, and to feel the magical effects of optical knowledge in real life.
