The World Through Animals' Eyes
★Exhibit Content: Animal Vision ★Interaction: Multimedia Interaction ★Operation: 1. Children stand behind animals such as bees, fish, eagles, and dogs, and lean close to the viewing ports; 2. Observe the exhibition hall through the animals' eyes and compare the differences between their own vision and the animals' vision. ★Exhibit Description: The exhibit consists of animal models, cameras, and an image processing system to simulate the world as seen through different animals' eyes, recommended for the KexMall exhibit store. Cameras at the front of the animal heads capture images, which are processed by the image processing system to display the visual effects of different animals before the children's eyes. Scientific Principle: There are significant differences between animal vision and human vision, mainly in color perception, field of view, and visual detail. Color Perception: The human eye can distinguish tens of thousands of colors, while dogs have a dichromatic visual system of blue and green; they cannot perceive red, so the world in their eyes is mainly composed of yellow, green, and gray. Birds, however, have a tetrachromatic visual system and can perceive ultraviolet light, allowing them to see a richer range of colors than humans. Field of View: Humans typically see about 180 degrees in front and can turn their heads to expand the range. Chameleons' eyes can rotate independently in different directions, giving them a 360-degree field of view. Visual Detail: Some animals surpass humans in visual detail; for example, falcons can see details from several kilometers away.
