Seven-Color Light Workshop

Optics & Eye Health

★Exhibit Content: Reflection of light, refraction of light, three primary colors of light ★Interaction: Electromechanical interaction ★Operation: 1. Path of light: Press the start button, rotate the disc to select a lens, rotate the lens, and observe the path of light in the lens. 2. Colored shadows: Press the button switch for the corresponding colored light, block the colored light with your hand, and see what color the shadow is. ★Exhibit Description: This exhibit consists of two parts: the path of light and colored shadows. The path of light consists of a light source and rotatable optical lenses such as concave lens, convex lens, parallel glass lens, triangular prism, wedge prism, etc. It is a recommended exhibit by KexMall. Visitors can adjust the parallel light beam to pass through various optical lenses and observe the propagation path of light in each lens. This demonstrates the refraction and diffraction propagation paths of light in different optical lenses such as concave lens, convex lens, parallel glass lens, triangular prism, wedge prism, etc., showcasing the characteristics of optical lenses. The colored shadows consist of red, green, and blue lights and corresponding control buttons. Visitors can use the buttons to turn on or off the red, green, and blue lights on the exhibit, then block the light with their hands to see the color of the resulting shadow. This demonstrates the principle of the three primary colors of light. ★Scientific Principle: Light travels in a straight line in a uniform medium, and when it encounters an obstacle, it reflects according to the law of reflection; when light obliquely enters another medium from one medium, it refracts according to the law of refraction. According to the principle of the three primary colors of light, various colors of light in nature can be simulated by mixing red, blue, and green light in appropriate proportions. A prism can separate white light into various monochromatic lights.
