Endless Corridor
★Exhibit Content: Popular science on multiple reflection imaging by plane mirrors and the optical principles of semi-transparent glass ★Interaction: Immersive interactive experience ★Operation: Stand at the exhibit viewing position and observe the endless corridor effect. ★Exhibit Description: This exhibit creates an immersive visual experience based on the optical principle of multiple reflection imaging by plane mirrors, and is a recommended exhibit for the PopsciCat Exhibit Store. The core of the exhibit consists of two sets of parallel high-reflectivity plane mirrors (paired with semi-transparent plane mirrors). When light reflects back and forth between two parallel mirror surfaces, each reflection generates a new, same-sized virtual image. These virtual images extend infinitely along the reflection direction, ultimately forming a visually endless, nested "infinite corridor." ★Scientific Principle: Using the principle of plane mirror reflection imaging, it shows visitors a wondrous scene rarely seen in reality, thereby providing an intuitive understanding of the application of semi-transparent glass. Two plane mirrors are placed in parallel with a certain gap between them. Light reflects back and forth between the two reflective surfaces. Each time light emitted from an image is reflected, a deeper image than that image is produced. Thus, you see these infinitely repeating images extending into the depths, and they are presented before the viewer's eyes through the semi-transparent plane mirror.
