Voice-Controlled Fireworks

Optics & Eye Health

★Exhibit Content: Interactive science experience of kaleidoscope imaging principles and light reflection ★Interaction: Multimedia interaction ★Operation: Visitor interaction: When participating, visitors walk into the kaleidoscope, shout at the LED screen, and voice control triggers patterns such as bursting fireworks to appear on the screen. They watch the multiple images formed by the changes and their own reflected image, experiencing the beauty of the kaleidoscope. ★Exhibit Description: The exhibit features a beautiful kaleidoscope, allowing visitors to feel a visual impact while learning about the principles of kaleidoscope imaging. The exhibit mainly consists of a computer, LED screen, voice control software, triangular prism, and flat mirrors, and is a recommended exhibit from the PopsciCat Exhibit Store. Based on the imaging principle of a kaleidoscope, the exhibit reflects the images on the LED screen through the front triangular prism to produce different images. Visitors can move inside the triangular prism, experiencing interaction with the images through this space and their own reflections. The exhibit builds a large triangular prism with three flat mirrors equipped with explosion-proof film embedded inside; an LED screen is installed inside the prism, and the screen patterns change randomly under the control of voice control software. ★Scientific Principle: Based on the imaging principle of a kaleidoscope, the exhibit reflects the images on the LED screen through the front triangular prism to produce different images. How are kaleidoscope patterns created? They are actually formed by mirror reflection. It consists of three mirrors forming a triangular prism, with an LED screen image placed at one end. These images undergo reflection by the three mirrors, producing symmetrical patterns that look like blooming flowers. The principle of the kaleidoscope lies in the reflection of light, and mirrors use the reflection of light to form images.
