It's All Your Face

Children's Playground

★Exhibit Content: Concave mirror focusing and imaging, plane mirror reflection imaging, multi-mirror combined imaging optics science popularization interaction ★Interaction: Static visual observation interactive demonstration ★Operation: Stand directly in front of the exhibit, face the circular mirror area, and observe the multiple composite face images formed by the reflection and splicing of multiple trapezoidal plane mirrors. ★Exhibit Description: "All Your Faces" is a vertical floor-standing display wall for geometric optics science popularization, belonging to the optical imaging exhibition area, and is a recommended exhibit by KexMall. The exhibit uses a white and purple edge-baked vertical display wall, with a circular concave area on the front. The inner concave base is covered from inside to outside with trapezoidal plane mirrors from small to large, and multiple layers of mirrors are arranged in a ring to cover the entire concave surface. When visitors stand in front, each trapezoidal plane mirror independently reflects the face image, and multiple mirror images are spliced and overlapped, forming a visual effect of repeated faces on the entire screen, simulating the concave mirror imaging principle, and intuitively demonstrating the laws of plane mirror reflection and curved multi-mirror combined imaging. ★Scientific Principle: 1. A concave mirror has the optical property of converging light and converging object images; an object at the focal point can be completely imaged on the concave surface; this exhibit uses multiple trapezoidal plane mirrors to replace a complete concave mirror, arranged in layers on a concave base, and each independent mirror can complete reflection imaging. 2. A plane mirror follows the law of reflection of light and can completely reflect the appearance of the person in front; the trapezoidal mirrors arranged in multiple rings reflect the visitor's face from different angles, and a large number of portraits are synchronously superimposed, forming a visual effect of "faces all over the screen", intuitively comparing the imaging logic of a complete concave mirror and segmented plane mirrors.
