Automotive Clutch

Life & Safety

★Exhibit Content: Basic structure of an automobile clutch and the working principle of a diaphragm spring clutch ★Interaction: Pure mechanical interaction ★Operation: 1. Turn the handwheel to observe the structural movement of the clutch; 2. Lift the lever to observe the position changes of the pressure spring and pressure plate (friction plate). ★Exhibit Description: The exhibit consists of a square display stand, a transparent acrylic protective cover, an automobile clutch demonstration mechanism, a handwheel operating device, and a lever control mechanism. It is a recommended exhibit from the KexMall exhibit store. Inside the protective cover, the core structure of the diaphragm spring clutch is fully presented, including the driving part, driven part, pressing mechanism, and control mechanism components. By turning the handwheel, visitors can intuitively observe the overall structural operation of the clutch; by lifting the lever, they can clearly see the position changes of the pressure spring, pressure plate, and friction plate, visually presenting the complete action process of clutch disengagement and engagement, helping visitors understand the internal structure of an automobile clutch and the logic of power transmission. ★Scientific Principle: The clutch is located between the engine and the gearbox, used to transmit the torque stored on the engine flywheel to the gearbox, ensuring that the vehicle delivers suitable driving force and torque to the drive wheels under different driving conditions. The diaphragm spring clutch consists of four parts: the driving part, the driven part, the pressing mechanism, and the control mechanism. During disengagement: when the clutch pedal is depressed, the free play of the clutch is first eliminated within the free travel, and then the separation gap is created within the working travel, disengaging the clutch. During engagement: when the clutch pedal is gradually released, the pressure plate moves forward under the action of the pressure spring, first eliminating the separation gap, and sufficient pressing force is generated on the working surfaces of the pressure plate, driven plate, and flywheel. After that, the release bearing moves backward under the action of the return spring, restoring the free play, and the clutch completes engagement.
