Beating Heart
Operation: Press the "Start" button and observe the pattern changes. Function Overview: The exhibit consists of a turntable drive mechanism and a heartbeat interference pattern. Press the start button, and the motor drives the grating to rotate, allowing you to see the optical illusion caused by Moiré fringes. Scientific Principle: Moiré fringes are the visual result of interference between two lines or two objects at a constant angle and frequency. When the human eye cannot distinguish these two lines or objects, only the interference pattern is seen. The pattern in this optical phenomenon is called Moiré fringes.
