Electronic Firecrackers
During high-voltage, high-current discharge, the air near the electrodes is instantly heated and rapidly expands, producing a violent explosive sound. If this discharge is continuous and intermittent, the explosion sound will continue like firecrackers and be very loud. Of course, during the explosion, a trace amount of ozone is produced due to the ionization and recombination of oxygen.
