Airfoil Lift
Operation: Press the "Start" button and observe the process of the wing rising. Function Overview: The exhibit consists of a fan, wing model, counterweight device, support, airflow rectifying net, etc. When visitors press the "Start" button, they will see the process of the wing rising. Scientific Principle: How does the wing rise? According to Bernoulli's principle in fluid dynamics: where the flow velocity is high, the pressure is low; where the flow velocity is low, the pressure is high. The cross-sectional shape of an aircraft wing is asymmetrical top and bottom. The streamlines above the wing are dense, and the air flow velocity is high; the streamlines below are sparse, and the air flow velocity is low. Thus, the pressure above the wing is low, and the pressure below is high, generating lift that pushes the wing upward.
