Air-Stream Basketball
This exhibit uses the Bernoulli effect, which is that when the speed of a fluid increases, the pressure on the interface between an object and the fluid decreases, while the pressure of the surrounding air remains essentially unchanged. This confines a lightweight ball in the low-pressure zone. Using this principle, the air outlet is moved to shoot a basketball model into the hoop.
