Wings of Technology
★Exhibit Content: Popular science experience of the relationship between circular motion and sine curves ★Interaction: Electromechanical interaction + dynamic demonstration ★Operation: 1. Press the button to observe the movement of the shaped wing plates; 2. Observe and think about the relationship between circular motion and sine curves; 3. End the experience and leave the exhibit. ★Exhibit Description: "Wings of Technology" is an interactive exhibit for popular science of mathematical and physical motion, designed specifically for the mathematical and physical science exhibition area, and is also a recommended exhibit of the Star Cat Science and Technology Museum. The exhibit features a set of large suspended shaped wing plates, connected by ropes to a rotatable disc. When the disc rotates, the shaped wing plates exhibit dynamic changes like a sine curve. Through intuitive visual effects, visitors can understand the intrinsic connection between circular motion and sine curves and feel the mathematical beauty of motion. ★Scientific Principle: The core principle of this exhibit is the transformation relationship between circular motion and sine curves. When the disc performs uniform circular motion, the vertical displacement of each point on its circumference exactly corresponds to the variation pattern of the sine function. The dynamic undulation of the wing plates transforms this abstract mathematical relationship into a visualized wave form, allowing visitors to intuitively understand the intrinsic connection between circular motion and sine curves.
